An Introduction

Updated: May 2, 2021

My friend, I’ve been trying to image what you are like. I want to learn about your hopes and fears, and wonder what it is that brought you may lucky way.

Perhaps it’s unfair of me to ask you to self-disclose when I myself haven’t. Sorry for beginning our journey on such hasty terms! Here’s a little bit about my aspirations:

Ultimately, what I desire for you is what I desire for myself, and it this: I want us to be empowered. Society is constantly feeding us inputs about how we should live our life and what success looks like, and the truth is, much of this becomes deeply programmed within us. And that’s okay – it’s only natural that the world around us is going to shape who we are. Yet, it’s also important to have a meta-awareness that acts as a filter, separating what it is that will make you live more fully and meaningfully, from everything you’ve been taught to want- things like an esteemed job, perfect body, top-notch grades, lots of money, and true love. You can want these things I sure as heck know they’re important to me but it’s also important to think about the why, and to step back and ask at what point is what you have on your plate enough.

We’re taught that the answers to our desires can be found outside of us whether in a pill, product, or in another person. But what if instead of looking towards externals, we take a moment to look within. I know...even I’m cringing at how painstakingly cliché this sounds, but bear with me here.

Our thoughts are so powerful because we can take them with us everywhere. These invisible little buggers are so wonderfully transformative that they can change the way we feel without altering a single externality. In fact, they themselves can shape our reality. So I hope you can take the themes explored here in your pocket, to be enlisted anytime, anywhere.
